its a very popular place, with a great view and friendly, helpful staff. Food though wasn't anything special though. I ordered a seafood chowder and it was mostly potato. The main dishes (salmon & Halibut) were ok. fish, rice and brocoli. It wasn't bad, but then it wasn't very good.

Gosh, where do I begin. This is my favorite place in Seward. The view is spectacular. My husband said they made the best steak of his life. We visit Seward every year and make sure that our Sunday dinner is here. Our server Ryan was a gem. Great service and top notch food always.

The visit was a great experience. I had the Halibut Oscar, my wife had the Fish and Chip combo, and the kids had the Fish and Chip kid's meal. I also added a pound of King Crab legs as a side to my Halibut Oscar. The fish and the crab legs were fresh and serving was generous. The food taste great too. The restaurant was clean and the ambience was comfortable. The server was very attentive and polite. Although the price tag for the food is a slightly more expensive but for the quality and taste of food plus the excellent setting, I think the pricing is fair.

Everything we tried here (including: the crab cakes, crab dip, scallops, calamari, seafood linguini, and the king crab) was pretty good. I don't recall our sever's name, but he was very helpful and friendly as well. The place overall is kind of touristy. Good for convenience though if taking a boat cruise. Thank you for a nice visit.

Ray’s Waterfront is by far one of our favorite restaurants. We go every year for my wife’s birthday since it’s her favorite. It’s located in Seward Alaska and let me tell you the water view, fresh seafood and delicious bread is out of this world amazing. We always get multiple appetizers because you could never get too many here and the specials are always my favorite. This restaurant is seasonal, in other words it opens up in May all the way til September and closes for the winter. I could honestly say everything we’ve ever had from this place never disappoints. The service is always awesome and the view while enjoying dinner is so relaxing. This place has been our favorite for years! Give them a try and troll around beautiful Seward while you’re visiting!!

By far our favorite place in Seward. We had the fried calamari to start and it was so good and loved the sauce that comes with it. Next up the shrimp basket good size serving and so good. Would definitely eat here again.

This restaurant is recommended from the local people to us. They're beautiful view at the restaurant, food good and waitress so nice. I cut one star out because the price a little bit high. If you want to come here on weekend. I recommend you call for the reservation first. We have to wait for 45mins before we can get in.

Ray's was highly recommended to us by our hotel manager so we went there for dinner after having made a reservation early on. I'd recommend to get a reservation if you're going for dinner early, around 6pm or so because that's when all the marine cruises end and everyone lines up for dinner at that time. As for the food, everything that we ordered was exceptionally good. The calamari appetizer was brilliant, soft and not chewy. The lime rice that accompanies the entrees was the winner for me - I liked it even more than the halibut itself. When you order the entrees, you get a side of steamed veggies - you'll understand how much the restaurant cares about the food they're putting out when you eat this - all the veggies were cooked to perfection. Everything we ordered was delightful and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is undecided.

We had the seafood pasta and king crab legs. The pasta was delicious; a lot of flavor and plenty of seafood. The king crab tasted a bit old, perhaps frozen too long. The broccoli was very good and fresh. As expensive as the crab is, I would have liked it to be fresher and more flavorful. For $120.00 we just would like better. We had a very nice server but she was quite slow on the service. The view is awesome from the restaurant.

This was one the very best restaurants I've ever been to. The seafood was absolutely amazing. The salmon had a very delicious glaze on it. You could tell everything was fresh. Next time I visit Alaska I'll definitely make a special trip back.

We were in ALASKA last month and made a reservation here while staying overnight at the RV park. Since Seward is a cruise port town i would recommend making a reservation. When the ships are in town this place gets a lot of people. I had the salmon on a cedar plank which was delicious. The prices were not to crazy for fresh seafood and a tourist town. Great views of the Seward Harbor. Everything was spot and and we enjoyed ourselves.

Stopped in for a quick bite, and to get a break before driving back to Anchorage. Views were great, but to bad it was raining. The seafood chowder was great, and was really a meal in itself. My wife and I were sharing, but really a cup would have been enough. Really filling, lots of halibut and other seafood. Also had a 3 piece halibut fish and chips. Excellent. Saw other food come put, all looked good. My only minor criticism is it's a bit high priced for what you get, but that's the price of a phenomenal view!

Must say, even if the have only drip coffee (really?) The food was excellent, the halibut totally delicious, the salmon (next time I order not glazed) was excellent too. I kept an open mind to the glazed slightly sweet, but the composition with the garlic potato mash and veggies was just perfect. We had a French dry rose. ...I over ate, definitely the chef knows what he is doing. Servers ( here Gretchen) very helpful, engaging, happy and just added to the experience! Thank you for the authentic Alaskan experience.

Place was very busy at 7PM on Tuesday night with 30-40 minute wait. We opted for the bar and were seated immediately. We had impeccable service and great conversations with local residents about Seward. Ray's chowder was fantastic and very tasty. We ordered the halibut special and Caesars salad with grilled halibut with side order of Alaskan King Crab legs. Great food, presentation and atmosphere.

The crab is probably the best I've had in Alaska. The waitress, we caught a few eye rolls, but in the end was good. We all have bad days. We went by the suggestion of another local shop. Glad we did.

Quite pricey for the quality of food. I've had better seafood down in the lower 48 for the price we paid. The calamari was good but not great since every bite seemed to be filled with oil. The seafood chowder was a little dehydrated and almost had a very thick sauce consistency. The salmon dishes looked great but definitely over cooked. Chef tried to put more oil after the fact but only made the fish worst. Still giving a '3' for the location and nice view.

Very nice little place food was good prices are higher then one would think being in Alaska and eating seafood. But had very good service with a great view of the bay with a couple others swimming around and a couple eagles flying by.

Best meal we had in Seward! I got the salmon, and it was delicious. It’s right next to the water, which was really fun.

This place has a decent view over the water front, although you see docks for the most part. It's got a decent ambience. We ordered Seafood linguine pasta and Halibut Andaman. Both were good but Seafood linguine pasta was a bit more rich and tasty. Climaxed at Creme brulee. It was definitely satisfactory after a half a day long cruise.
